Wood chip refuelling systems

Inside ejector

Maximum use of storage room volume

Refuelling systems

With ejector inside

Vertical refuelling system

The fill-up process is made through an inner ejector. This system can be used for storage rooms in upper floors as well as in rooms with no corresponding access. The storage room capacity can be used in an optimal way and there is very little dust distribution. Depending on the nature of the wood chips the ejection range can be between 4 and 5 m and the conveyor capacity up to 50 m³/h

Inside ejector system

Flow path and operating principle

  1. Vertical auger inside the storage room
  2. Adjustable ejector with throw range of 4 to 5 m
  3. Conveyor capacity up to 50 m³/h
  1. Two fill level indicators in the storage room
  2. Very low dust distribution during filling
  3. Optimal use of storage room volume

Conventional filling

  • Wood chips are not distributed optimally in the storage room
  • Risk of uncontrolled accumulation and manual correction

Conventional filling

  • Front loader filling usually requires sufficient access around the storage room
  • Material distribution often remains uneven

Conventional filling

  • Standard blowing systems can generate higher dust loads
  • Useful volume can remain partially unused

Inside ejector

Advantages of vertical refuelling with inside ejector

Total package from Hargassner

  • Vertical auger with electric motor
  • Adjustable ejector with electric motor
  • Steel frame with anti-vibration mounting and support feet
  • Two fill level indicators and maintenance switch

Clean and controlled material flow

  • Very little dust distribution in the storage room
  • Stable filling process with repeatable results
  • Suitable for applications with higher cleanliness requirements

Flexible installation scenarios

  • Suitable for storage rooms on upper floors
  • Works in rooms without direct corresponding access
  • Designed to maximize usable storage volume

Vertical wood chip filling system from Hargassner

Practical filling process

Truck unloading into receiving trough

  • Vertical system receives wood chips from truck unloading
  • Material is fed continuously toward the ejector

Ejection and distribution in storage room

  • Ejector spreads wood chips over a large area
  • Even distribution reduces manual intervention

Level monitoring and operating safety

  • Fill level indicators protect against overfilling
  • Maintenance switch supports safe servicing
